HACSA has the honour to partner with the Office of the President for the HACSA Sankofa Summit 2025, through its Diaspora Affairs Office headed by Kofi Okyere Darko. The President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, has been invited to grace the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour for this year's Summit. In April 2025, the President launched the One Million Coders initiative, which aligns with one of HACSA's core missions, to develop leadership and skills in the youth. The HACSA Foundation has pioneered innovative approaches to teaching ICT coding and life skills through the Tech4Girls Program, which trains young women in Africa in coding and equips them with the tools and job readiness skills they need to succeed in a technology driven world. These efforts reflect a shared vision of an inclusive digital future, driven by innovation, opportunity, and the full participation of Africa's youth at home and across the globe. Funds raised through the HACSA Summit 2025 are in aid of this initiative.

The Conference

The Conference offers a platform for participants to deliberate on critical topics that are relevant to Africa and its Diaspora communities worldwide. It provides opportunities for learning, insightful discussions, collaborative opportunities and networking for all participants. It also seeks to link, reunite, reconcile and evoke healing in communities through reflection and consciousness and to share creative and innovative strategies among participants. Discussions cover a wide range of topics, including investment, financial inclusion, technological innovation, the creative arts, youth skills, leadership and career development, women's empowerment and physical and mental wellbeing.

The Charity Gala

The Charity Gala is our annual flagship fundraising event, held for the benefit of the programs and projects of the HACSA Foundation. It is an elegant and festive celebration of African talent and creativity, instilling a sense of shared purpose, camaraderie and community engagement. The gala is a cultural night of live music, fashion, food and dance, celebrating African heritage. It fosters unity in and appreciation of the global diaspora, nurtures a collective commitment to HACSA's mission and links and fortifies the ties that bind diverse communities. It is a night to remember where Sponsors, Donors, HACSA Sankofa Members and participants let down their hair and raise funds for HACSA's Programs and Projects.

"I completed a 4 year University degree in Information Technology but had no practical instruction in coding. As a Tech4Girls Scholar I received hands-on training in coding which enabled me to build a bank website interface from scratch. I delivered the 'Scholar's Graduation Day Speech' which landed me a job as a Digital Solutions Developer with Fidelity Bank. Tech4Girls didn't just teach me how to code, it gave me the confidence, skills and opportunity to thrive and gain meaningful employment."
